Despre a sti, a nu sti si a visa (Isaac Asimov)

Am revazut episodul 200 din Stargate SG-1... Recunosc, sunt o Stargate - Star Trek - SF etc. NERD. Asta sunt! Imi place sa ma uit la stele si sa ma imaginez acolo. Oricum sunt locuri mai frumoase decat aici. Cred. Sau cel putin diferite. In fine, nu despre ce cred eu e vorba, ci despre faptul ca episodul s-a incheiat cu vorbele lui Isaac Asimov, ale carui carti m-au introdus in universul sf, cuvinte cat se poate de actuale si in zilele noastre:
“Individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today - but the core of science fiction, its essence has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all.“
Asta da indemn eco!, pentru cine e interesat. :D

Alte vorbe de-ale lui Asimov:
“Suppose that we are wise enough to learn and know - and yet not wise enough to control our learning and knowledge, so that we use it to destroy ourselves? Even if that is so, knowledge remains better than ignorance.”
“The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.”
“If knowledge can create problems, it is not through ignorance that we can solve them.”
“I do not fear computers. I fear the lack of them.”
